As government agencies look to modernize their missions through digital innovation, please join SAIC and MeriTalk on Nov. 2 at the OutFront: Continuous Agility forum in Arlington, Va., to learn agile and innovative solutions that are helping agencies to succeed amid escalating cyber threats.

With the rising number of cyber threats, the Biden administration is working to harmonize cybersecurity efforts across the public and private sectors. Here are just a few of the key policy points in play:

The White House’s Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) released its much-anticipated National Cybersecurity Strategy in March, followed by its very own National Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan released in July.

Additionally, the White House released a request for information (RFI) on cybersecurity regulatory harmonization and regulatory reciprocity in July, seeking input from stakeholders to understand existing challenges with regulatory overlap and inconsistency.

The Department of Defense (DoD) also unveiled an unclassified version of its own 2023 Cybersecurity Strategy in September, months after a classified version of the plan was shared with Congress. The DoD’s strategy calls on the Pentagon’s cyber workforce to use offensive cyber operations to frustrate and disrupt adversaries – like the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) – in cyberspace to minimize threats to the United States.

The Biden administration clearly has a range of efforts underway to respond to escalating cyber threats, but as U.S. Air Force Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) Winston Beauchamp said recently, the number one thing agencies can do to improve their cybersecurity posture is to modernize their IT architecture.

Join us next week to learn continuously agile best practices in modernizing and accelerating the return on investment of your cloud-based infrastructure, integrating and manufacturing with digital engineering and DevSecOps, and managing the challenge of synthesizing volumes of data for decision-making while managing regulatory requirements.

You’ll hear from Jamie Holcombe, chief information officer at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, on how to achieve actionable outcomes through secure, cloud-based solutions.

Sharon Woods, director for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) J-9 Hosting and Compute Center, will also share how her team is meeting mission outcomes through secure cloud.

Col. Joy Kaczor, director of cyberspace operations and warfighter communications at the U.S. Air Force, is also joining the program to share stories about the policy and technology innovations that are speeding joint agency decisions from hours to seconds.

Additionally, Sean Connelly, TIC program manager and senior cybersecurity architect at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), will discuss how to accelerate zero trust plans that map to agency modernization efforts.

With a wide range of speakers and topics, there’s something for everyone at SAIC OutFront. Register today to learn how to modernize government missions amid escalating cyber threats, and we’ll see you in Arlington on Nov. 2!
