The Department of Defense (DoD) is looking for industry’s insight to help create a digital platform that will enable the agency to manage contracts seamlessly, easily, and effectively, according to a new open call put out by DoD on Dec. 28, 2023.

The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) at DoD is looking for input by Jan. 14 on an electronic filing solution that can be easily integrated into DoD’s existing technology ecosystem, and that can track contracts at the agency as well as improve workflow for the DoD workforce.

“This system must be able to reduce these pain points by providing a secure, easy-to-use way of storing and accessing documents,” stated the CDAO.

“Additionally, it should be able to seamlessly integrate with existing systems and offer a way to track changes and updates to ensure the integrity of the documents,” the CDAO said.

“This system should provide a modern, user-friendly experience that can be accessed from anywhere and at any time,” the CDAO said. “Furthermore, it should be able to provide real-time insights into document usage and storage to help the CDAO manage their contracts.”

The project will encompass three rounds of assessments – a discovery round, a pitching round, and a project award round.

“The objective of this Call is to attract and identify best-of-breed solutions to solve the problem sets identified,” said the CDAO. “Solutions will be assessed independently of one another primarily for technical merit.”
