USAF’s ISR and Cyber Effects Ops Gets new Leadership

Maj. Gen. Mary O’Brien was nominated by President Donald Trump to become deputy chief of staff for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) for Cyber Effects Operations at the U.S. Air Force headquarters. O’Brien would replace Lt. Gen. VerLinn “Dash” Jamieson if confirmed. Jamieson has served as commander of the ISR and Cyber Effects headquarters since Feb. 28, after serving as deputy chief of staff for ISR since November 2016. ISR and Cyber Effects Operations were merged earlier this year in an effort to expand the USAF’s cyber capabilities.
