Jeanette Manfra, assistant director for cybersecurity at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), is leaving CISA at the end of the year, an agency official confirmed to MeriTalk.

At CISA, Manfra leads the agency’s mission to protect and strengthen critical infrastructure from cyber threats. In her tenure with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), she’s worked with multiple administrations to meet cybersecurity goals and establish the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network.

Manfra often led public appearances on CISA’s behalf to discuss agency efforts. As a public face for CISA, she also worked as a liaison with industry to share cybersecurity intel and improve best practices.

Manfra is leaving CISA for a position in the private sector, TechCrunch reported. Information on Manfra’s successor is not publicly available.
