The Justice Management Division (JMD) – which is part of the Department of Justice (DoJ) – is seeking industry’s help in procuring a new intranet platform with AI and machine learning (ML) integrated tools that DOJ personnel can use to communicate within the agency.

The request for information (RFI) is seeking potential solutions by Dec. 8 that will help the Justice Department move away from its existing DOJNet platform to a new platform that will rebranded as the Justice Hub once it is created.

“In its current state, DOJNet provides a secure and reliable platform for information sharing among DOJ personnel. However, the site has not been reimagined since 2015 and lacks the capabilities and functionality to encourage collaboration, foster productivity, and most importantly is not responsive on mobile devices,” stated JMD.

The RFI is looking for a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) intranet platform that will include “federated search capabilities spanning multiple repositories such as the intranet, SharePoint, Service Now, and others.”

“Justice Hub will integrate metrics with actionable data, allowing staff to access relevant information easily. The platform will be easy to use, and everyone will be able to manage their content,” the RFI says.

The new platform also will use an “auto-governance” plan that will weed out unused or old content from the platform by leveraging AI and ML technology.

“Our primary objective is to procure the services of a highly competent vendor who can offer a robust, secure, and dependable solution that aligns with our specific business requirements,” JMD said.
