Government Operations Subcommittee Chairman Gerry Connolly, D-Va., indicated today that his office is considering the March-April timeframe for a hearing on the most recent FITARA Scorecard that was issued by the House Oversight and Reform Committee in late December 2020.

Speaking at an event organized by GovernmentCIO, Rep. Connolly said the April timeframe was under consideration, while another source with knowledge of the scheduling also held out the possibility that the hearing could happen in March.

The subcommittee generally holds hearings on new editions of the FITARA Scorecard shortly after they are issued.  But the 11th version of the scorecard was released just a few days before Christmas, and Rep. Connolly said today that the delay from the usual hearing schedule also reflected a desire to let the Biden administration “find its depth” before the committee discussed the latest edition of the scorecard.

The scorecard issued in December showed three of the 24 CFO Act agencies earning higher grades, five agencies getting lower grades, and the remainder holding steady since mid-2020.
