Due to inclement weather in the Washington D.C. metro area, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announced that Federal offices will be closed today. In a statement, the OPM says that non-emergency employees will be granted weather and safety leave for the hours that they were scheduled to work. Emergency employees are expected to report unless told otherwise and telework employees are expected to perform an entire workday as scheduled.  The announcement does not apply to furloughed employees affected by the partial government shutdown.
