Luncheon and Plenary Panel – Insider Threats

Insider threats have escalated on the list of cyber security priorities since last year’s high profile media stories. From Presidential panel recommendations to changes in agency cyber monitoring and reporting approaches, mitigating insider threats is a top challenge. Need to know vs. need to share is again being debated in intel, civilian, and Department of Defense circles. Most agree that combatting these threats requires a risk management approach to everything from security clearance vetting to implementing new tools and controls. This discussion will cover new approaches to effectively combat insider threats and the ongoing challenges government agencies are addressing.
