The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy today announced the chartering of the National Quantum Coordination Office.

The office was authorized under legislation signed by President Trump in December 2018. The office will serve as a central point of contact for stakeholders and promote commercialization of Federal research, as well as support basic quantum science research and standards development at the National Institute for Standards and Technology

“We look forward to continued implementation of the law to secure US leadership in quantum science for generations to come,” OSTP said in a Twitter posting today.
