The Oregon Army National Guard (ORANG) is seeking a cloud-based shipping and mailing solution for more than 100 users and more than 50 sites.
In a Jan. 19 sources sought posting on Beta.Sam.gov, the U.S. Property and Fiscal Office, procurement and contracting department of Oregon (USPFO-PC) said it plans to solicit a service contract for ground unit Postal Service Solution, which would include the ability to generate shipping labels using a cloud-based solution and digital scales at more than locations in Oregon.
The notices also said that the proposed project is anticipated to be a competitive, firm-fixed price (FFP) contract worth $16.5 million. The contract will be one-year in length with the option of additional years.
The eventual software solution will have to display the lowest available rates to use based upon the ORANG administrative security policies and organization standard operating procedures. Additionally, the solution must be capable of comparing and calculating postage for letters, flats, and USPS parcels shipping prices. It also must have the ability to print to thermal shipping label printers and/or postage with standard laser printers and ship packages within a set of administrator customizable policies and limits to all locations/accounts.
Interested vendors will have to ensure that their cloud-based software is capable of functioning within at least the last two major revisions of the latest Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome internet browsers currently in the market place, as well as at least the last two major revisions of the latest version of any required internet browser plug-in services (i.e. Java, Adobe Flash, etc.).
In terms of technical support, the vendor must provide technical support during Pacific Standard Time, as well as provide a technical support response time of no more than 15 minutes.
