After serving in the Federal government for over three decades, Jennifer Ewbank has stepped down from her position as Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for Digital Innovation, according to a recent LinkedIn post.

The intel agency has not yet announced any successor for that position.

“Serving as Deputy Director of CIA for Digital Innovation has been the honor of a lifetime, and I can think of no better way to end this amazing career than to help build the future of intelligence,” she said.

According to her LinkedIn account, Ewbank will be transitioning to the private sector, where she hopes to continue to bolster the work and mission goals of the U.S. national security community.

During her time at the CIA, she was primarily tasked with accelerating the development and integration of digital and cyber capabilities across the CIA, with focus areas including enterprise information technology, cybersecurity, cyber operations and analysis, data strategy and artificial intelligence, open source collection, and reporting.

“The CIA is a unique place, with an exceptional mission, and the officers of DDI inspired me each and every day. I will miss them all,” Ewbank added. “I’ll simply share that this has been a career where I found deep purpose and meaning each day. For that and so much more, I am grateful and honored to have served.”
