The U.S. Army has awarded SAIC a $757 million contract to help the Army operate a software platform and management system for enterprise IT services.

The contract – known as the Army Enterprise Service Management Platform – will help the service branch run its global IT service management system.

According to an award digest released by the Pentagon on Sept. 26, bids for the contract were solicited online. The Army was in search of a contractor to help run its global IT service management system that connects users with software via subscription and licensing arrangements. The Army received a proposal from one other company.

Under the contract, work performed is estimated to be completed by Sept. 25, 2023. However, there is a potential for a 10-year extension for work performed under the contract.
