Mark Kneidinger, is a 40+ year veteran in IT and Cyber whose career transcends roles as a federal government CIO and Cyber Senior Executive, state government CIO and private sector Vice President and Managing Partner for IT consulting. Specific roles of note held:

  • Principal Deputy CIO for the Department of Energy
  • Cyber Director and government-wide CIO & CISO liaison for Federal Network Resilience and the National Risk Management Center for the Department of Homeland Security
  • White House Appointee as Deputy Assistant Administrator for Management and CIO for the Department of State/U.S. Agency for International Development
  • Vice President for Cloud Computing Research and Service Offerings for Northrop Grumman
  • Managing Partner for Federal Consulting at Computer Science Corporation (CSC)
  • CIO for the Virginia Department of Health
  • CIO for the Virginia Department of Social Services
  • CIO for the New York State Education Department

Mark has presented nationally and internationally on IT and Cyber topics, as well as being a published author on these topics and currently on the Editorial Board for Cybersecurity- A Peer Reviewed Journal out of the UK, in addition to serving on several Venture Capital Advisory Boards as Cyber advisor. Recently retiring from the federal government, Mark has established Kneidinger LLC (www.kneidingerllc.com) as Managing Partner and provides CIO and Cybersecurity management advisory and consulting services.
