Cory Milam

Food and Drug Administration

Ms. Cory Darden Milam is the Director of the Office of Innovation within the Office of Information Technology & Management at The Food and Drug Administration. In this role, Ms. Milam focuses on enabling leading edge technologies, providing strategic direction to the agency’s scientific computing program and delivering collaborative knowledge management designed to enhance the agency’s ability to execute its mission to protect the public health. This includes oversight over the Innovation lab, a space where ideas are collaboratively transformed into innovations helping to explore new ways to solve challenging problems for the agency.

Prior to this role Ms. Milam served as the Director of Business Informatics Staff for the FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) providing oversight of the Center’s Information Technology (IT) portfolio, portfolio budget, and services to effectively support the regulatory and scientific computing business needs of the 11 Offices and 1350+ employees/contractors that support CFSAN. Ms. Milam has served in a wide array of Federal Government and the private sector positions providing her extensive knowledge, experience, and application of project and program management practices. Ms. Milam has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Systems Management and a Master of Science in Project Management from the George Washington University.
