FITARA Scorecard 12.0 Shows Impressive Improvements

FITARA is a fixture in Federal IT and remains an important measure of how agencies are prioritizing modernization. The scorecard, released twice annually, has seen steady improvements by most agencies over the past five years. The latest iteration, version 12.0, reveals notable improvements and few downturns.

Since 2018, MeriTalk has honored those who have received high marks on the FITARA scorecard. The FITARA Awards are the only awards program based on GAO data.

While we cannot honor these winners at an in-person ceremony, we will recognize them at the next live ceremony. The House Oversight and Reform Committee found that 22 of the 24 agencies earned overall scores in the “B” and “C” range, with only the Department of Justice receiving a “D” grade and the General Services Administration taking the top spot with an “A+”.
