Paula Osborn is the Deputy Chief Data and AI Officer for the U.S. Department of State. Prior to this, Paula was the Chief Data and AI Officer at the Department of State’s Bureau of International Organization Affairs (IO). Paula also served as a senior data scientist at the U.S. Department of State’s Center for Analytics and Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.
She has done extended details to U.S. Embassy Moscow, Mexico City, Kyiv, and Kabul, and was an elections monitor for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Siberia.
Ms. Osborn holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychological and Brain Sciences and Spanish Language and Culture from Johns Hopkins University. She earned her master’s degrees in Public Policy and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies from University of Michigan.
