Mauricio Lozano
Naval Sea Systems Command
Mauricio Lozano is an Enterprise Defense Cyber Architect and RMF Technical Area Expert (TAE) with the U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), serving in the Cyber Engineering & Digital Transformation Directorate (SEA 03). In this role, he leads enterprise-level cyber defense architecture and network modernization across warfare centers, shipyards, and fleet networks, advancing Zero Trust, Comply-to-Connect (C2C), and cyber resilience initiatives.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran with over 19 years of experience across military, diplomatic, and civilian sectors, Mauricio began his career in physical security and emergency response before transitioning into cyber defense, dedicating almost two decades to protecting people, missions, and infrastructure. His experience includes service abroad with the U.S. Department of State, where he safeguarded diplomatic communications and critical information systems, as well as leadership in the private sector driving enterprise technology solutions.
He holds advanced security certifications (CISSP, CSIE, CASP+, CySA+, PenTest+) and is pursuing a Master of Science in Cyber Security at the University of Essex. Mauricio is also a published thought leader on AI/ML trust and the intersection of people and technology in cybersecurity.
