Rick Holgate

Holgate previously oversaw the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives’ (ATF) information technology services and forensic services work across three laboratories and a fire research facility. Prior to joining ATF, he served as the assistant director at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), where he oversaw IT services and led the agency through its transition to the Navy Marine Corps Intranet. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Princeton University. He also earned a master’s degree and doctorate in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
