Dr. Busby is a Deputy Assistant Director at the Department of Justice where he serves as the Program Manager for the Department’s Data Center Transformation Initiative. He has over 30 years of information systems management and scientific research experience. Dr. Busby is also a Professorial Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The George Washington University.
Prior to joining DOJ in 2004, Dr. Busby held a variety of public and private sector positions. He was previously the Chief Infrastructure Architect at DOJ, the Chief Architect at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, research engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Design Engineer at Pratt & Whitney and held consulting positions within the IT industry.
Dr. Busby holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University and M.S and B.S. degrees in Mathematics from Mississippi State. Dr. Busby resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife Nicole.
