Jacquelyn Patillo leads the Office of Customer Advocacy and is entrusted by OIT leadership to provide OIT customers a voice, identify areas to improve customer satisfaction, to bring customer challenges and best practices to the attention of VA leadership, and seek resolution and implementation as necessary through metrics-driven engagement and an enterprise-view.

Prior to OCA, Ms. Patillo served as the Acting Executive Director for Field Operations from March 2013 to March 2014. Other highlights from Ms. Patillo’s VA service include her tenure as an IT senior technical advisor to the Office of the Chief Information Officer focused on streamlining communications between the VA administrations and VA IT. She was the Deputy chief Information Officer for the Department of Transportation for five years.

In addition to federal service, Ms. Patillo has also served at the state level, as the Chief Information Officer and Director of Data Systems Management for the State of Alabama.

Ms. Patillo has been recognized for her contributions throughout her career to include the President’s Transition Team Group Award, Department of Transportation in 2009. During her time at the US Mint, Ms. Patillo was the recipient of the Director’s Award for Excellence for Strategic Human Capital Management and Outstanding Performance Award for the US Mint’s Human Capital Planning Initiatives in 2005, the Outstanding Performance Award for Treasury’s Human Capital Strategic Plan in 2004, Special recognition for Web Presence Distribution Task Force and Strategic Budget Task Force in 2002, a team award for Seat Management Special Project in 2001, and a Special Act Award for Y2K in 2000.
