David Winn

David Winn has over 30 years of experience in engineering design, planning and program management. During his career, Mr. Winn has been involved in services across the spectrum of critical use facilities, from designing complete facilities for high reliability data centers, sensitive research facilities and chemical processing plants. Mr. Winn applied his knowledge and experience to develop numerous design patents and to author national standards for several Fortune 500 companies. For over twenty years Mr. Winn served as the Chairman, Founder, and CEO of an Engineering/Architectural Firm located in Walnut Creek California. His staff included 120 professionals that consisted of:

Mr. Winn has also served as a Calpine Senior Vice President with overall responsibility for the CPower and WRMS business units.  Responsibilities include business development, strategic planning, product and new technologies development and financial performance. During his years at Calpine he was responsible for deveolping and constructing mission critical power generation projects that range in size from 1.5 MW to 160 MW.

Mr. Winn is known worldwide for detailed data center energy and Life Cycle Cost analysis and has served as the worldwide Director for the HPE Data Center Facility Technology Council where he had overall responsibilities Worldwide for:

• Standards and Standardization
• New Technology Assessment and Adoption
• Interface with HP Labs and ISS
• Modular Data Center Standards
• Training and Training Development

Presently Mr. Winn is responsible for all of the HPE Americas Data Center Service Lines.
