Ms. Kent previously serving and leading secure protocols for systems aboard transportation for White House Officials to include POTUS was extremely valuable as she served at MARFORCYBER as the Assistant Chief of Staff of the G6 and Acting Cyber Technology Officer (2019 to 2023); enabling defensive cyber operations and Cyber Protection Teams to employ continuous active monitoring across the enterprise and cyber based landscape.  She led modernizing the sensor capabilities for the DoDIN-Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN); modernizing security information and event management and delivered data storage with high-performance compute capabilities creating data processing at scale.  This advanced analytics detects and defeats advanced persistent threats and improved the USMC ability to display, correlate and aggregate data to secure, operate, and defend the DoDIN-MCEN.  Ms. Kent’s success also included enabling the USMC to posture to emerging technology and create a culture of readiness.  She did this by leading brainstorming workshops for 5th generation wireless, Quantum Computing, and Machine Learning – just to name a few. Her continued leadership set the USMC up with a strategy to use Innovation Centers to accelerate software development, improve technology to support continuous monitoring and mitigation, global identity management, and leverage best practices to support weapon systems.   Her continual progressive achievements in cyber defense will continue in her current role at DISA as the Civilian Deputy for Endpoint and Customer Service Directorate.
