Andi Fisher-Colwill
Department of Commerce Policy and Business Management
Andi Fisher-Colwill is the Director of Business and Administrative Services and Acting Deputy CIO for Policy and Business Management for the Department of Commerce. In this capacity, Andi leads a multi-sector team charged with enabling the OCIO’s enterprise-wide mission, including budget and finance, performance and strategic planning, enterprise risk management, human capital and employee development, space management, procurement, and other key business and administrative functions.
Andi’s federal career has focused on enabling informed financial and budgetary decision making. She has led projects to benchmark administrative costs across the U.S. Customs and Border Protection nationwide facilities; strengthen Working Capital Fund governance at the General Services Administration; strengthen program accountability through the Treasury Department’s Quarterly Performance Review program; and embed enterprise risk management principles into budget and program administration decision making government-wide.
Prior to joining the Department of Commerce OCIO, Andi served as the Deputy Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the International Trade Administration, a bureau of the Commerce Department; acting Budget Director of the General Services Administration; and Deputy Budget Director of the Treasury Department.
In 2016, Andi co-led the interagency team that developed and published the Playbook: Enterprise Risk Management for the U.S. Federal Government in 2016.
Andi joined the government as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2004, after earning a Master’s in Public Policy from the American University School of Public Affairs, Washington, DC.
