With the Obama administration and Capitol Hill reprioritizing procurement accountability, more of the same procurement mismanagement simply won't cut it. MeriTalk surveyed 200 Federal procurement professionals to identify:
  • Current status of Federal procurement management and processes
  • Challenges and opportunities for the Federal procurement community as we work to increase procurement transparency, accountability, and efficiency

The report found:

  • Feds cite they can save $158 billion each year by implementing more efficient processes
  • 56 percent of Feds lack program management training, 59 percent lack EVM training, and 85 percent lack CPIC training
  • Only 18 percent of Feds use innovative technology, such as Web 2.0, to demonstrate contract ROI
