Experienced Executive with extensive background in Operations Management, Program Management, Account Management, System Integration, Business Development, Proposal Development, Financial Leadership, and Strategic Planning in the information technology, advisory services, and communications across the Department of Defense, Civil and Intelligence markets. Proven, leadership skills across a wide spectrum of Defense and National Security Intelligence clients and programs over a 28 year period.
George Obertubbesing leads TASC’s corporate business intelligence capability. In this capacity, he supports initiatives across all of TASC customer portfolios including the Department of Defense, Intelligence, and Civil Agencies. As member of the TASC executive leadership team, Obertubbesing supports a wide range of critical activities including M&A research, management of internal and external competitive analysis resources, management of subscribed research services, facilitation and participation in competitor and customer Black Hats, design and management of competitor, customer, and market data repositories, liaison to industry analyst groups such as Forester and Gartner. Additionally, Obertubbesing is responsible for supporting corporate market strategy development, leveraging outside market research firms and consultants in an effort to drill down from budget allocations to relevant customer opportunities. He is responsible for supporting line organization market initiatives by working with customer facing business development executives, capture teams, and line leadership to ensure understanding of competitive, customer, and marker landscape to the degree possible and working with teams to initiate positioning strategies. Obertubbesing has more than 30 years of experience as a defense contractor for the U.S. intelligence and defense communities. His expertise covers a range of areas including business development, operations management, strategic planning, and program management. Before joining TASC, Obertubbesing led military Intelligence business development at SRA. Obertubbesing was responsible for identifying, qualifying and developing new business opportunities throughout the Defense Intelligence Community, primarily within the DoDIIS environment. Significant focus was on establishment and execution of SRA’s successful capture strategy for the Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (SITE) Opportunity. This $6.5B DIA vehicle was key to long term participation at the DIA, and a must win for SRA. Obertubbesing was responsible for establishing the teaming strategy, value proposition, and post award go-to-market plan for this multi-award contract. In addition to working this specific opportunity, Obertubbesing was responsible for developing broader account plans for the DIA, CIA, ODNI and INSCOM. Responsible for a pipeline in excess of $500M. Successes included the award of the DIA’s Solutions for Intelligence Analysis (SIA), JITF-CT Knowledge Management Support, Solutions for Intelligence Financial Solutions (SIFM), Executive Office of the President O&M Support and the EUCOM J6 IT Support award. Over the course of his career, Obertubbesing has held key Line and Business Development leadership roles at major defense firms, including SRA, CSC, SAIC and Harris Corporation. Obertubbesing has an extensive background in Operations Management, Business Development, Program Management, Systems Integration, across a wide range of customer domains. Obertubbesing is a graduate of the University of South Florida’s engineering school. In addition, he has participated in extensive corporate sponsored courses in topics such as program management, business development, organizational management, negotiations, and proposal development. Throughout his career, he has been acknowledged with many corporate awards including those for Quality, Innovation, and Outstanding Program/Project Management (Sole recipient of Harris Corporation’s 1992 Phoenix Award for excellence in program management and program turn-around). Obertubbesing is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), and the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP). Obertubbesing was recently selected to represent TASC with the National Defense Intelligence Association (NDIA) as a board member. |
