In October 2009, the Office of Management and Budget released a new online FISMA reporting portal – CyberScope. The Obama administration created CyberScope to streamline the reporting process, enhance analysis, and importantly, reduce the $2.3 billion Feds spend annually on compliance. MeriTalk surveyed 34 Federal Chief Information Officers and Chief Information Security Officers to understand Feds' perceptions and usage experiences for CyberScope.

In April 2010, MeriTalk teamed with Axway to survey 200 Federal IT and information security professionals to understand file transfer practices and importantly, to identify opportunities for file transfer security improvement.
